5. Sharks — Every year, 2 people on an ENTIRE coast get bitten and the media goes crazy. So, what?
4. Lions — They can break out of zoos and go hunting for you. It’s like a game, really.
3. Snakes — Even though I used to own one, snakes creep me the hell out. Not the ones that are in cages, I like holding them and such — but going on a wilderness trail and finding a snake terrifies me.
2. Flea — People touch snakes, pet lions and sharks (albeit in controlled environments), butnobody wants to touch a flea. They carry diseases and are malicious and will suck blood from you until you stop them.
1. Pit bull — Sure it’s a classification, but it has to be here. They’re common, the media makes them seem like devils, and I hear stories about them biting some kid’s face off every week on the news.
Its a terrible thing that people fear pitbulls so much. I suppose its just a matter of where you are. I own a pitbull and shes the most docile dog Ive ever seen. But if you’re caught in the wrong neighborhood where people feel they need to train their pitbulls to be nasty, thats when occurrences happen that make the news- “girl gets mauled”, “toddler killed” etc etc- stories about loving pitbulls that roll over for belly-rubs dont make the news. And its sad, really. Their ferocious reputation overshadows their positives.
I would suggest bats being on this list- a lot of people just get the willies when it comes to bats.
